Midhurst is well known as the home of British polo with Cowdray Park hosting international championships but there’s much more to discover in this pretty market town. Dating back centuries, Midhurst has more than 100 listed buildings with a charming mix of medieval, Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian architecture as well as the ruins of the original Cowdray house, all sitting comfortably alongside more contemporary homes. There’s always plenty to do, including a round at Cowdray Park Golf Club which welcomes everyone from children to champions. The South Downs National Park is the beautiful setting for Midhurst which lies just 12 miles from Chichester and 20 miles from the coast.
