CALA Helps Homeowners Plug into Going Green

Award-winning house builder CALA Homes is helping purchasers to boost their green credentials at its new Amlets Place development in Cranleigh, Surrey.

CALA has installed an electric car charging port at every property at the new development on Amlets Lane, to encourage house buyers to become more eco-conscious.   Each new home features a Rolec WallPod: EV Ready unit, which charges an electrical vehicle in Mode 2 format, as well as doubling as an outdoor rated 13amp maintenance socket, ideal for home and garden maintenance.

Nicki Dennis, sales and marketing director at CALA Homes (South Home Counties), said: “The Government is focusing on driving forward the green transport revolution, however a lack of charging infrastructure is often cited as one of the main barriers for people looking to buy an electric vehicle. As a responsible house builder, we wanted to make it as easy as possible for our customers to go electric by adding a charge point as standard at all of our new homes at Amlets Place.

“The provision of charging points for electric vehicles is critical for encouraging drivers to make the switch, and we hope that our contribution towards this in Cranleigh will help towards reducing carbon emissions in our towns and cities.”
