Southbourne New Homes Provide a Great New Start

A fresh start in a newly built home has proved the perfect move for professional photographer Kelly Hearn. Kelly was among the first people to move in at Priors Orchard, the hugely popular new scheme in Southbourne by Seaward Properties.

Kelly has been a wedding and portrait photographer for 18 years and has run her own business for the past eight of them. Summer is an especially busy time for photographing weddings and she's sometimes booked for three in just one week so she needed a home that didn't require DIY.

"I used to live in a cottage so, especially as a parent and business owner, it's made a nice change to have a new build house without all the worry of decorating and maintenance" said Kelly. "I've grown up in this area, my parents live around the corner and my daughter goes to Southbourne Junior School, so we were very keen to stay in the area.

When we drove past and saw the houses taking shape I wanted to find out more. A family friend reassured me that Seaward Properties produce a high quality home so I emailed the agents, Henry Adams".

Kelly had to wait until the Show Home was ready and the first of the homes at Priors Orchard were released for sale to reserve her new home. "I'm very happy with this house, it has all the features I wanted and the finish is very high quality. It's very clean and modern. I'm not overlooked and the sun comes up on one side of the hose and down in the other, which in my job is something I really appreciate.

Kelly was able to move quickly having already sold her previous home and took advantage of the Government's 'Help to Buy' scheme when arranging her finances.  "Help to Buy was mind blowing initially but my financial advisor just did everything for me so it ended up being very straightforward and the sales team on site, Wendy and Caroline, were really helpful all the way through".
