If you are a First Time Buyer wanting to buy your first home, then Help to Buy could make buying your own home more affordable.  Especially since the Government has confirmed that the First Time Buyer threshold has been updated so NO STAMP DUTY PAYMENT is now due up to the purchase price of £425,000.

WHAT IS HELP TO BUY?

- You only need a 5% deposit

- The Government lends you up to 20% of the value of the property

- The equity loan is interest free for 5 years, making your ideal home more affordable

- You then need to secure a 75% mortgage

Can I still use the scheme if I've not started my home search yet?

Yes you can, the available homes taking part in the scheme MUST be reserved before 6pm on 31st October and built by the end of December.  Buyers must have the keys to their new home NO LATER THAN 6pm on 31st MARCH 2023.

Reservation fees are up to £500 which are refundable if the equity loan is not approved. Please ask for more details as to how you can qualify for this scheme.
