Young Couple's First Look at Their First Home at new Bedhampton Development

A couple from Waterlooville have eagerly visited Barratt Homes' Harbour Place development to see their first home being built - ahead of moving in.

Taylor Hammon (24) and Jordan Prince (21) can't wait to call the place home after living with their parents nearby and were invited by the housebuilder to take a 'first look' and despite the place not being quite ready to move into just yet, the young couple were treated to a tour of their new home and could already see themselves putting their own stamp on the place.

After a short spell of living together during the pandemic and having the chance to save some money during lockdown, the couple decided it was the time to buy their first home.  Taylor said "a small silver lining that came about from the pandemic was that Jordan and I had the opportunity to save for a deposit and we couldn't wait to start the search for our perfect property".

With their hearts set on a new build, Taylor and Jordan looked at the new developments in the area and came across Harbour Place.  Jordan said "We wanted our first house to be brand new so we could be the very first people to call it home.  We looked around the developments in the area and that's when we found Harbour Place.  As soon as we saw it, we knew the development was for us.  It's in a great location, close to Havant and with easy access to Portsmouth, which is where we often meet our friends".  Harbour Place is also in the ideal location for Taylor and Jordan to get to work and is close to both their families.

Taylor added "Jordan works around the corner in Cosham and I work in Alton, which is just half an hour along the motorway.  Our families also live nearby, which will be fantastic if we need help decorating!  We love that Harbour Place is close to a lot of green space as well.  We'll always have somewhere we can head for a great walk".
