A long search leads to the ideal home for local couple

After deciding it was the right time to downsize from their three bedroom house, Clive and Susan Blackman searched at length for an older property in their home town of Bognor Regis but it wasn’t until they discovered the new homes at Cherrywood that their decision became crystal clear.

“There was too much work to be done in the older properties we’d seen so we decided to investigate new homes in the area,” said the couple, who recently moved into a single storey detached home at Cherrywood this Spring. “We found Cherrywood was a complete revelation after everything else we’d been looking at!”

The select development of six new homes by Pallant Homes is tucked away in Bersted but still within easy reach of local shops as well as road and bus routes direct to Chichester or Bognor Regis. 

Now retired, Clive and Susan enjoy getting out and about exploring as well as going on city breaks. “It’s very easy for us to see family in nearby Yapton since the new road has been built, which was one of the considerations when making our decision to move here. We fell in love with the design of the bungalow with its high ceilings and it’s so light throughout.  Above all though, we love how quiet it is with all the benefits of everything being brand new and economical to run.”

Susan indulges her passion for baking in the new kitchen which was already fitted with stainless steel fan oven, hob and extractor hob ready for when they moved in. Alsofitted before moving day were the carpets and vinyl flooring, making the move as easy and economical as possible for the excited new owners.

“Our new neighbours have been so friendly and the site manager, Jason, has been very helpful,” say Clive and Susan. “We have definitely made the right choice in moving to Cherrywood and can’t wait to enjoy our first summer in our new home.”
