First owners move into outstanding Yapton development

The first owners have just moved into their new home at Bonham’s Field in the village of Yapton, bringing the development to life.

Oliver Russell and Kenza Saadi chose one of the exceptional houses by the award-winning local house builder, Seaward Homes as their first home together.

“We were looking specifically for a new build as a first home so that we could benefit from the Help to Buy scheme as it’s a one-off opportunity for home buyers,” said Kenza. “The convenience of moving into a house without the need to renovate or decorate was another deciding factor for us.”

Both Oliver and Kenza work in Chichester so wanted a home within easy commuting distance. They preferred to live outside the city, however, ideally in a smaller, bespoke development. When a member of the family noticed the signs for Bonham’s Field, he thought it would fit Oliver and Kenza’s criteria perfectly and alerted the couple.

“Our first impressions were positive as soon as we came to visit,” said Oliver, “even though it was hard to tell how everything would look when it was finished as the homes were still at an early stage of construction. But when we came to visit the house for the demo just before our completion, we were both very happy with the result and the build quality.”

Oliver and Kenza chose a home with a sizeable, lawned garden for which they’re looking forward to planning and planting ready to enjoy next summer. They were delighted that the house also comes with a garage which Oliver plans to use for weekend projects.

The first phase of Bonham’s Field has already been sold by Simply New Homes at Henry Adams.

The latest release features a collection of just 15 barn-style cottages set in a traditional courtyard settting. These attractive homes have brick and flint elevations with grey slate roofs. Each of the 2 and 3 bedroom homes comes with a private garden, ranging in size from easily manageable to extensive for green-fingered homeowners. Prices start from £374,950 for a substantial 2 bedroom, single-storey home with a generous garden.

“We both enjoy the proximity to the countryside here,” said Kenza, “yet we are still close to Chichester and the seaside. There is also a Co-op within walking distance which is always helpful for any last-minute shopping.”

Oliver concludes, “Overall, we are very happy with the house. We’re looking forward to seeing the completion of the rest of the development which I am sure will look lovely, and meeting our new neighbours as they move in.”
