Stepping onto the property ladder at Meadow View

Annie Crinion was searching to buy her first home when she suddenly spotted an advert for Meadow View, an exciting new development of 55 new houses by Pallant Homes, set right in the heart of Nutbourne village.

“I had wanted to get on the property ladder and escape from throwing money away through private renting,” said Annie. “Having had my little boy two years ago, I was happy to commit to living in the same area long-term, for the first time.

“The location of Meadow View was just right for us as it’s close to Chichester, where my parents live and they help look after my son when I’m working. I grew up in Fishbourne and love the area, so it will be great to watch my little boy grow up here and although he’s still very young, it’s reassuring to know that the schools are good.”

After visiting the show home, Annie talked to Helen Wainwright, sales adviser at Meadow View who explained the government’s Help to Buy scheme which involves a 5% deposit and a government loan plus your own mortgage.

“Help to Buy was very straightforward and when I wasn’t sure about something, I phoned them up and they were so helpful,” Annie said. “Helen went out of her way to help with the buying process too. She answered her phone whenever I called her, wherever she was, & spent time making sure I completed on time which I wouldn’t have been able to do if it hadn’t been for her help.”

Annie chose the biggest house she could afford, one with a large garden which has room for a shed, perfect for storing her son’s outdoor toys and bikes as he grows.

“We’ve both already settled in really well,” she says happily. “My little boy loves the space in our garden and because it’s a cul-de-sac, there are often kids playing. He’s taken a great liking to an older boy who lives a few houses away. For me though, I love the way that everything’s all so NEW and so CLEAN!”
